Overview :
Radiant GI provides real-time global screen space lighting for embedded PRUs and pipelines, resulting in more natural scenes.
Highlights:
- GI in real time. Cooking is not necessary.
- Works with any 3D scene, including static and dynamically generated content.
- No scene or material changes are required.
- Works with any light type and emissive surfaces. Every pixel can contribute to GI!
- Silent Raymarch technique with custom double-sided filters, extensive blur, and space-time
- One light bounce option for extra indirect lighting
- Option to use reflective shadow maps and reflection probes as fallbacks for off-screen emitters
- Support for virtual emitters (“GI injectors”) that can be easily placed in the scene or attached to dynamic objects to simulate artificial lighting,
- “Near Field Obscurance” option, which darkens occluded surfaces, adding even more depth to the scene.
- “Organic Lighting: An Effective Option for Introducing Procedural Lighting into Your Scene (URP Only and Delay), which can also serve as an indirect light source to create more natural and interesting ambient lighting
- Easy to use: just add the Radiant render feature and configure the post-processing effect in the desired volumes.
- Uses the Volume system, which allows you to apply the effect globally or only to certain zones with custom settings for each zone.
- Fully customizable, including raymarching, performance, and artistic-related settings.
- Compatible with direct or delayed rendering path; However, using lazy rendering is highly recommended as it gives more realistic results.
- Supports perspective and orthographic camera types.
- Special visualization tools like debug and compare modes (similar to Beautify compare mode)
- Two demo scenes and documentation (PDF) are included.
Compatibility:
- Requires Unity 2021.3 or later.
- Supports built-in rendering and URP (Universal Rendering Pipeline).
- Tested on Windows, Mac, and WebGL 2.0.
- Android and iOS are supported on high-end mobile devices.
- VR is not supported.
